Jennifer Young wins FHT Tutor of the Year at Excellence Awards

We said we had a big announcement and this is it...

Jennifer Young has won the coveted title of FHT Tutor of the Year at their 2020 Excellence Awards. 

In a year that has seen furloughs, closures and seemingly never-ending lockdowns, some good news was warmly welcomed by all on the Jennifer Young team. 

Jennifer took these challenges on board and used them to provide education, information and hope for those who needed it in these hard times.  

 Here are some of the amazing things Jennifer has been doing over the past year:

- We moved all of our training courses online to ensure that therapists could continue their learning in spite of salons and spa's being closed. This not only gave therapists the opportunity to become more inclusive of cancer patients in their work, but it meant that courses became more accessible regardless of location or schedule. 

- We launched a Control of Cross Infection in a Post-COVID-19 World course. A free, accredited course which allows therapists to learn how to do risk assessments and how to welcome clients safely after lockdown. So far, we have welcomed over 5,500 people on to this qualification, spanning every area of beauty and wellness you can think of. 

- We held lockdown webinars and Q+A sessions to hear directly from therapists and their concerns. As well as holding expert (socially distanced panels) to explore the relationship between wellness and discrimination. 

 ⁠Jennifer is especially honoured by the recognition in this tough year. We look forward to continuing in our goal to make the spa and therapy industry inclusive and safe for cancer patients alongside FHT's valued support and accreditation.
