Course Structure
Course Summary
Our auricular acupuncture qualification is comprehensive and wide-ranging.
It covers all that is required by the National Occupational Standard (NOS) and associated Skills for Health.
The detail is given in the Auricular Acupuncture Guide.
During this qualification, you will become familar with, and competent in, a 5 point protocol used in many health care settings.
It is used to support clients through a variety of health care concerns. It is primarily used to support those affected by cancer and people facing addiction.
It is widely used as it has many proven benefits and very few contraindications.
Upon successful completion of this course, you are welcome to join us for our Postgraduate courses.

In-Person Practical Training
Our first in person auricular acupuncture training day will take place at JY HQ in rural Staffordshire.
You will be sent a link to book these dates as soon as you sign up for this qualification.
Case Studies
You are required to give 3 treatments to 5 different people within 3 months of your practical training. When you have completed this practical learning you will book a session with a tutor to discuss your learning as well as any challenges faced.
You are required to share images of your client and needling at this stage.
Prerequisites you need to have to take this course
You should be a wellness or health care practitioner.
Licensing
There is a requirement for UK based acupuncturists to register premises and practitioners with the local authority for the area in which the premises are found.
Please visit your local authority website to see the detail of their requirements and cost. The law governing this requirement relates to health and hygiene which are covered in detail during our qualification.
We foresee no issues with your gaining a licence to practice having completed this qualification. Licensing remains your responsibility and, as all local authorities have different licensing processes and procedures, we are unable to guarantee a successful licensing application.

Course content
The Jennifer Young Postgraduate Diploma in Therapeutic Oncology Massage is a certified qualification accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists and designed to ease the side effects of cancer treatment, improve coping mechanisms and enhance quality of life.
